1. Overview
hcportal handles attendance, employee documents and HR reporting, with a mobile app for biometric attendance.
2. Work Done
- Reports: attendance report generation cut from 4 hours to under 10 seconds by redesigning queries with CTEs, composite indexes, batching and precomputed summary tables. Production MySQL upgraded from 8.0 to 8.4 LTS.
- Documents: ~2 TB and millions of employee documents moved from an unsecured file share to MinIO, with least-privilege access per service.
- Architecture: moved to Docker and split into 5 stateless, horizontally scalable services, with a plan for the remaining modules.
